Various causes can lead to an unattractive elongated earlobe, earholes can be extended over time deliberately or unintentionally and after years this can be perceived as disturbing and no longer according to one's own aesthetic claim. In many cases, this blemish can be eliminated with a relatively simple surgical procedure. Such surgery is performed on an outpatient basis and under local anesthesia.

 

What is the preparation for such an operation?

• No intake of blood thinners, ASA or vitamin E

• Reduction of alcohol and nicotine consumption

 

What risks exist?

• Pain

• Swelling

• Bleeding / bruising

• Scarring, rarely keloid formation

 

Schedule 1-2 weeks for regeneration. If desired, new ears can be stung after complete healing (about 3-6 months later).
